About Me

I grew up wandering through the woods of the land that my father farmed. Since then, I have lived in London for 20 years, trained as a Mountain Leader, worked for 12 years as a teacher and leader in Inner London schools, completed an earth science degree, a masters in education, a PhD in critical realism, moved back out of London, and been fortunate enough to train with leading ecotherapist and shinrin-yoku guide Dr Stefan Batorijs.

Recently, I have worked as an academic at UCL and SOAS. Where I have researched and developed ecological ideas around transcendence, the longue durée, and the importance of a loving connection to landscape. I also set up systems to train other academics to use their research to inform Parliament.

Since moving out of London, and learning from my own young children, I have rediscovered how important that initial wandering through the woods was. I would like to take you wandering and to help you to return to that state of child-like wonder and connection.
